Roux has provided environmental services to the energy industry since the mid-1980s. We have successfully completed hundreds of remedial projects throughout the petroleum market (upstream, midstream, and downstream segments), power generation sector, and renewable energy market. We have experience in remediation of all types of associated contamination, including light non-aqueous phase liquid (LNAPL), dense non-aqueous phase liquid (DNAPL), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), chlorinated solvents, metals, and historic fill concerns. We apply a broad array of technical disciplines to meet the evolving environmental challenges faced by the industry. Roux is also at the forefront in addressing emerging contaminants such as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), with leading-edge approaches for investigation, remediation, and liability allocation.
Roux has practical experience in the evaluation and implementation of various new and/or innovative in situ technologies for remediation of energy sites, including: chemical oxidation, enhanced bioremediation, natural source zone depletion, and surfactant flooding, among others. In addition to applying remedial technologies, Roux applies modern approaches to regulatory advocacy such as utilizing product transmissivity as opposed to thickness, to evaluate site remedial objectives and closure approaches. For our renewable energy clients, Roux provides the full range of assessment, environmental, and land use permitting necessary for site acquisition and development.
