Pittsfield’s Path to Reviving a Heavy Industrial Brownfield
Idle industrial sites often hold great potential—but complex liabilities and uncertainties can keep them off the market for years. This session presents a detailed case study of how the Pittsfield Economic Development Authority (PEDA) transformed a 100-year-old heavy industrial site in western Massachusetts into a viable redevelopment opportunity. Roux’s Edward Weagle contributes to this panel, drawing from his direct Site experience.
