Exciting Update: Roux Acquisition of KPRG
In support of the long-term sustainability and growth of Roux’s Midwest operations, we’re excited to announce the acquisition of KPRG and Associates, Inc. (KPRG), a 12-person environmental consulting firm with offices in Illinois and Wisconsin.
Roux opened our current Illinois office in March of 1999 with a key Principal who remains an integral part of the firm today. By 2008, the office grew to about 20 employees. Our Illinois headcount has hovered between 25 and 30 in recent years since our Chicago satellite office opened in 2021.
“The opportunity with KPRG emerged from our endeavor to expand our services to clients in the Midwest. After meeting with the KPRG owners, we quickly realized that their goals are well aligned with Roux’s, particularly regarding our people. Hiring, growing, and retaining our people so that we can transition the ownership and leadership of our firm to them,” stated Sin Senh, CEO of Roux.
KPRG is an environmental consulting and remediation firm providing services to energy, industrial, real estate, and municipal clients. The company was incorporated in Indiana in 1993 and has been doing business as KPRG since 2004. Like Roux, KPRG is focused on fostering and growing long-term client relationships and encompasses the comprehensive technical skillsets, experience, and proven ability to provide environmental services to address their clients’ needs in the following areas:
- Environmental Compliance and Permitting
- Site Investigation
- Development of Remedial Alternatives, Remedial Design, and Remedial Construction
- Expert Witness and Litigation Support
- Environmental Evaluation, Assessment, and Reporting
- Asbestos and Mold Assessment

Through this acquisition, Roux welcomes two new Principals, Tim Stohner, PE (Principal Engineer) and Mark Wilson (Principal Scientist), and two new Technical Directors, Frank Santella, PG and Patrick Allenstein, PG. Roux is also adding the Brookfield, Wisconsin office, which will be a satellite office for Oak Brook operations. We are excited for the new projects, opportunities, and relationships resulting from this strategic partnership.
