Utility-scale Renewable Energy Portfolio

National BESS Developer; Northeastern United States

OBJECTIVES

Roux supported the development of a portfolio of utility-scale renewable energy and Battery Energy Storage System projects through environmental due diligence, regulatory analysis, and site investigation support. Services included completion of ASTM-compliant Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, evaluation of historical industrial operations and recognized environmental conditions (RECs), and coordination with geotechnical and civil engineering teams during early-stage project development. Roux also provided strategic guidance regarding remedial liabilities, environmental permitting considerations, groundwater and soil management requirements, and redevelopment constraints associated with former and current power generation sites. Roux assisted clients in assessing site conditions relative to potential qualification under the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) Brownfield Adder provisions.
