Stainless Steel Tubing Manufacturer Degreaser Air Permitting

Roux was contracted to expedite air emissions permitting approvals for two non-halogenated degreaser units to replace a TCE degreaser prior to the Environmental Protection Agency Toxic Substances Control Act ban on TCE use. To expedite new degreaser operation approvals, Roux optimized potential to emit calculations in accordance with the planned operation of the degreasers, performed air dispersion risk modeling using AERSCREEN, established previously unpublished threshold limit values for the new degreasing solvents, and negotiated with the regulator to facilitate an equipment self-registration process in lieu of a natural minor air permit. Self-registration equipment approvals were obtained within two months and in advance of the TCE ban, which allowed the facility to maintain its normal production rate.
