The project area on Staten Island, New York has a long history of storm damage and has experienced major damage from various recent storm events. The Interior Drainage Area E project includes the acquisition and preservation of open space for the construction of large interior drainage ponds, construction of tide gates, and gate chambers and associated stormwater infrastructure. Roux’s responsibility as the Construction Monitor/Restoration Specialist (CMRS) will be necessary throughout the entire during of the project.

Roux was commissioned by the Pittsfield Economic Development Authority (PEDA) to assist with obtaining grant financing, regulatory permitting, and regulatory approvals to transform 16.5 acres of building slabs, foundations, and pavements from a former industrial transformer manufacturing facility into ready-to-develop land suitable for commercial and industrial redevelopment (Site 9).
Remediation Takeover: Former Gas Station

At a former gas station site operated by several entities, the insured operated at the Site from 1974-1984. There were three documented spills at the Site: 1980, 1995, and 1998. The insured’s consultant proposed in situ groundwater remediation.
