Alex Wirth

Mr. Wirth is an experienced, proficient, and analytical engineering professional focused on providing progressive technical and management solutions. He encompasses over twenty-two years of project management experience; excellent knowledge in conceptual engineering, construction, planning, litigation support, settlement negotiations, design and cost estimating; proven interpersonal skills; and a superior record of financial management. He holds a BS in Earth Science and Geology from the State University of New York College at Buffalo. He is currently a Technical Director for Roux (2025-present).

Mr. Wirth has conducted, managed or overseen investigations and remediations at many sites located across the Northeast and has experience within the Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas, and Brownfields/Real Estate markets. Mr. Wirth’s areas of expertise include contaminant investigation and remediation, brownfield redevelopment, litigation technical support, and settlement negotiations.

• Provided project management, investigation, remedial design, operation and optimization, litigation support, third-party oversight, and monitoring at a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility with a chlorinated solvent plume.
• Provided on-site management for the decommissioning of a landfill facility in New York.  Activities included ongoing maintenance and long-term monitoring for PFAS, heavy metals, and PCB litigation support.
• Provided brownfield investigation, remediation, monitoring and responsible party settlement negotiations at multiple sites in New York.
• Provided third-party oversight and litigation support for a major petroleum release site including residential indoor air emergency response measures.
• Provided review and optimization of existing process engineering systems via mechanical and/or technology-based improvements, providing value-added services and engineering design solutions across sites in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
• Provided litigation support for critical Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQR) evaluations at an environmentally sensitive development site in New York.
