RCRA Wood Treating Plant

Roux was retained as a technical expert to review a $76MM claim for environmental remediation of former lagoons, soil, groundwater, and surface water at a wood treating facility in Alabama. Roux reviewed the data for the Site and concluded that approximately $70MM of the claim was attributed to owned land and the cost of doing business (specifically, the lagoon closure and remediation). The client settled the claim for significantly less than the original $76MM claim.
