Patrick Allenstein, PG

Mr. Allenstein is a licensed Professional Geologist in Wisconsin and Kentucky with over thirty-two years of experience in the environmental and geotechnical industry. His environmental work includes extensive field operations; he has completed numerous site investigations carried through remediation and closure. Mr. Allenstein has completed site characterizations for several projects including some within the Wisconsin Petroleum Environmental Cleanup Fund Award (PECFA) and Dry Cleaner Environmental Response Fund (DERF) insurance fund programs, including submittal of all necessary forms required for client reimbursement. His remediation experience includes groundwater recovery system installation, air sparge/soil vapor extraction system design/installation, free product removal system installation and maintenance, underground storage tank (UST) removals and excavations, and in situ/ex situ soil and groundwater remediation (including chemical and biological injections for natural attenuation enhancement).

• Project Manager for multiple Phase I and Phase II Site Assessments for a variety of clients, including private, commercial, and industrial.
• Senior Geologist for site investigations and remediations at multiple dry cleaner locations, including former and active cleaner operations. Projects included soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling, including soil vapor probes and indoor air at multiple residences. Projects included soil excavation within an operating facility; installations of groundwater injection grids; in situ chemical and biological injections; and installation of commercial, industrial, and residential vapor mitigation systems.
• Senior Geologist for Spill Response at a chemical laboratory. Site work included soil excavation, creating a monitoring well network set in shallow and deep bedrock zones and, in situ groundwater injections of biotreatment for MTBE impacts. Remediation work was successful and obtained state closure.
• Senior Geologist for investigations at multiple coal-fired generating stations. Site work included large-scale material removal operations, installing monitoring well network additions including wells to 200 feet into bedrock, down-hole geophysics oriented bedrock coring, RQD evaluation, and single well pumping test and stress tests.
• Senior Geologist for a large-scale soil remediation full brownfields redevelopment project. Work included in situ soil chemical oxidation mixing to reduce hazardous concentration to non-hazardous for off-site disposal, and dense non-aqueous phase liquid (DNAPL) product recovery system installation and operations.
• Senior Geologist at large Milwaukee brownfield project with ongoing site work, including interior vapor barrier removal, in situ stabilization (ISS) removal and disposal, and vapor system inspection and sampling
