Power Plant Revitalization

Roux is supporting the national energy transition by helping a coastal Massachusetts community navigate the development of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System project. The former Montaup Power Plant was once a major source of regional power and a petroleum tank farm, and is located close to residential development and sensitive ecological environment. The property is being transformed through private redevelopment into a site with the potential to support energy storage applications. Working on behalf of the Town of Somerset, Roux serves as an independent environmental advisor throughout redevelopment planning and early construction activities. This includes technical support in the context of environmental considerations, human health, construction management, and general engineering practices.
