Landfill Closure

Roux planted over 4,000 hybrid poplars to minimize infiltration of precipitation into two inactive landfill cells. The plot was also designed to intercept and evapotranspire groundwater up-gradient of the landfill to minimize exposure of groundwater to landfill waste and protect down-gradient water resources.
