H&S Support for Cosmetics Manufacturer

Roux provided health and safety support, including industrial hygiene services, to a cosmetics manufacturing facility. Roux provided on-site support, including health and safety tasks such as personal protective equipment (PPE) hazard analyses, and assisting the facility in determining if any employee exposures required the development and implementation of controls. Evaluating employee exposures involved conducting industrial hygiene assessments, including both area and personal noise measurements. Based on the noise measurements, Roux developed noise maps and assisted the facility to develop and implement a hearing conservation program for their manufacturing operations. The industrial hygiene assessments also evaluated employee exposures to total and respirable particulates, as well as area sampling for volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Based on the results of the personal dust samples and area VOC sampling, Roux provided the facility with recommendations to reduce or eliminate employee exposures using engineering and administrative controls as well as PPE.
