Real Property Law Section Annual Meeting – Roux to Moderate

This leading educational conference for California real estate practitioners features legal education programs, networking events, and special activities, offering up to 15.75 MCLE credits in legal ethics, elimination of bias, and competency issues.

On Sunday morning, Roux’s David Dixon will be moderating a session entitled “Saving the Deal When Environmental issues Arise.” This session provides an overview of common types of environmental issues, the appropriate steps for buyers and sellers to take when unexpected environmental issues arise during real estate transactions, and describes new insurance options that can be leveraged to limit liability and financial risk. CASQA’s 13th Annual Conference – Roux to Present

Monday, September 25 – Wednesday, September 27 The California Stormwater Quality Association (CASQA) is hosting their 13th Annual Conference, calling together members of the stormwater community from all disciplines. CASQA is the largest professional association dedicated to stormwater quality issues, assisting in developing and implementing effective stormwater management programs for over a quarter century. The conference will feature training workshops, technical sessions, and poster presentations on wide-ranging stormwater and water management topics with a focus around the conference theme: CASQA in the Capital: Building Bridges for Water.

On Wednesday, September 27th, as part of the conference’s “Industrial: Demonstrating Compliance Through the ERA Process” Session, Roux’s David Dixon, P.G., Principal Geologist, will be presenting on Demonstrating Natural Background in Stormwater. This presentation will explain how to help determine if Natural Background concentrations may be a contributor to, or causing Numeric Action Levels (NALs) exceedances in stormwater at a site.
