Wednesday, September 26

  • CEE at Illinois Job Fair – Hosted twice a year in the Newmark Lab Crane Bay, the CEE job fair brings company recruiters, many of them CEE alumni, to campus and offers students the opportunity to find internships and full-time positions.
  • California State University, Long Beach Engineering & Technology Career Fair – This career fair targets recruitment of full-time, part-time, and paid internship opportunities in Engineering and Technology.

Available Position: Project Manager (New York)

Project Manager (New York – Central Long Island)

Position Overview
Roux has an immediate opening in Islandia, New York for an environmental professional with strong skills in real estate due diligence and site investigation. The ideal candidate will have BS or MS in an environmentally-related field with a minimum of 3-8 years’ experience completing Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) and Phase II Subsurface Investigations. A successful candidate will be familiar with ASTM Standards for Phase I ESAs. Must be comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously with strict deliverable deadlines and minimal supervision.

Candidate Qualifications/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Environmental discipline. Master’s preferred.
  • 3-8 years of relevant experience in the environmental industry. Specific experience with Phase I Site ESAs and Phase II ESAs required. A demonstrated progression in technical site investigation/remediation and task management preferred.
  • Able to identify Recognized Environmental Conditions utilizing various historical documentation and environmental databases.
  • Ability to lead contractors, coworkers, and other professionals in task management capacity to complete projects on time and on budget.
  • Strong written and verbal communications with technical writing experience.
  • Professional license or certification preferred (P.E., P.G., etc.).

Position Requirements

  • Perform site visits and prepare Phase I ESAs, Phase II ESAs, and cost proposals related to both.
  • Primary author of Phase I and Phase II reports.
  • Field and office management of soil, soil vapor, and groundwater sampling.
  • Development and management of project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
  • Preparation and review of regulatory and technical reports.
  • Client service and regulatory agency communications.
  • Delegation of project work and training of junior staff.

Junior Billing Analyst (New York – Central Long Island)

Position Overview

  • Department: Accounting
  • Reports to: Billing Supervisor
  • Job Type: Full time
  • Overall Responsibility: Responsible for the preparation of monthly invoices
  • Consults with: Accounting staff, Project Managers, and Principals

Areas of Responsibility

  • Generating, editing, and finalizing invoices for clients
  • Ensure client invoices are delivered via email, mail, or electronic system in a timely manner
  • Maintain and update billing information
  • Review and approve employee expense reports
  • Data entry


  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Adobe
  • Strong communication, time management, and organization skills
  • Multi-tasking/attention to detail is a must
  • Prior experience with Deltek Vision or other project management software is a plus

Available Position: Environmental Technician

Roux’s office in Islandia, NY is seeking Environmental Technicians for the Operations and Maintenance of several remediation systems at our project site in Brooklyn. Primary responsibilities will involve performing a range of environmental technician assignments while working with a team of technicians. Work will consist of hands-on operations and maintenance (O&M) tasks.
