USEPA Releases Technical Guides on Vapor Intrusion

On June 11th, The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released technical guides to encourage consistency and support for assessment and mitigation of health threatening vapor intrusion from contaminated sites.  The guides include the Technical Guide for Assessing and Mitigating the Vapor Intrusion Pathway from Subsurface Vapor Sources to Indoor Air and the Technical Guide for Addressing Petroleum Vapor Intrusion at Leaking Underground Storage Tank Site. These guides provide the EPA’s recommendations for assessing and handling vapor intrusion for both residential and non-residential sites.
