The Durst Organization’s VIA 57 West Named Winner of Best Tall Building in the Americas

Award Winning Brownfield Cleanup Project

VIA 57 West; New York

The Durst Organization’s VIA 57 West building in New York City was named Best Tall Building in the Americas by a prestigious panel of experts from the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH). VIA 57 West was designed by renowned Danish Architect firm BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group and is their inaugural North American project. Located between 11th and 12th Avenues, the building’s pyramid design is an innovative addition to the New York skyline, bringing a Parisian touch to the typical Manhattan high-rise. Deemed by the Council as “a unique vision for the future of the tall building,” the structure is approximately 470 ft high and contains over 700 apartments. Roux Associates would like to congratulate The Durst Organization on this outstanding award, and we are honored to have worked on the remediation for this property under the New York State Brownfields Cleanup Program.
