New Jersey Site Remediation Conference: Roux to Present

Tuesday, January 23 – Wednesday, January 24 The New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professionals Association (LSRPA) is presenting a two-day conference with a lineup of new courses, guest speakers, and entertainment. The New Jersey Site Remediation Conference will be offering continuing education credits (CECs), perfect for LSRPs who are looking to renew their licenses. Overall, the conference offers professional networking and high-value education all under one roof.

Roux’s Michael Gonshor, P.G., LSRP of our Logan Township, New Jersey office will be attending and presenting Wednesday on Impact/Migration to Groundwater. This course will offer two regulatory credits, review the basis for the default impact to groundwater (IGW) screening levels, and discuss the available options to supersede these levels through the derivation of site-specific IGW standards.

Published Article – SRRA: Are We Better Off Four Years Later?

May of 2012 marked the implementation of New Jersey’s Site Remediation Reform Act or SRRA. The SRRA reformed many environmental regulations in New Jersey; the act now holds responsible parties liable for site remediation under strict timeframes and requires a Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) to supervise and remain on retainer for all sites. In the article attached below, Peter Downham, LSRP of Roux Associates and Lila T. Wynne, Esquire, co-chair of the Environmental & Toxic Tort Litigation Practice Group at Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, discuss the benefits and challenges the SRRA has posed for New Jersey within the last four years.
