Since 1997, Roux Associates has been providing national and regional insurance carriers and their outside counsel with technical environmental support as they settle and resolve claims for environmental contamination of both owned and non-owned properties. We have assisted insurers in settling or resolving claims made under historic CGL policies, first-party property policies, pollution liability policies, and remediation cost cap policies.
We believe the reason the Roux Associates team has been so successful in this arena is that we are actively involved in investigating and remediating contaminated sites throughout the United States and in more than a dozen other countries. We work for major oil companies, chemical companies, railroads, municipalities, as well as for Mom-and-Pop dry cleaners, gas stations, and homeowners with leaky fuel tanks. This experience gives us first-hand knowledge of environmental costs for both major projects and small projects.
We use this experience to provide “real world” cost estimates based on our own competitive bids for “real world” clients. We don’t rely on “secret” databases. We don’t have “proprietary models.” We don’t provide carriers with “best-case low-ball” estimates. We simply try our best to provide an estimate equal to what we would be willing to do the work for. And usually we are willing to back that offer up by taking over a project. Dozens of policyholders have taken us up on that offer and we’ve delivered each time.
