Tuesday, October 24 – Wednesday, October 25 Roux’s Timothy Adams, Principal Hydrogeologist, will be speaking at the 19th Annual Railroad Environmental Conference (RREC) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. On Tuesday, Timothy will present on “Remediation of 1,1,2 TCA via Soil Blending and Direct Injection at a Rail Car Cleaning Facility” with Dave Modrowski of Union Tank Car Company. The presentation will discuss chlorinated organic compounds (CVOCs) and how they were treated at an active rail car maintenance facility.
RREC 2017 will feature presentations by railroaders, consulting engineers, academics, and others involved in all aspects of railroad environmental topics. Over 500 people attended the conference last year; this year’s conference is expected to be the largest gathering of the railroad environmental community.
