For a pollution liability carrier, Roux Associates recently performed an underwriting evaluation of three packaging plants operated by a chemical wholesaler. This evaluation required an on-site review and inspection of known contaminant releases and potential environmental property damage and bodily injury mechanisms at each of the three packaging plants. Each plant was a sophisticated operation, including warehousing, tanks, delivery areas, packaging areas, floor drains, wastewater treatment plants, and chemical storage. Roux evaluated spill prevention techniques, contingency plans, current conditions, and regulatory compliance at each facility in order to provide our evaluation.
