Water Main Installation

Logan Township, New Jersey

Roux Associates provided engineering services for the design and construction of two water main extensions totaling 13,000 feet in length and the completion of residential water service connections in support of public relations for a Superfund Site and to provide added township infrastructure in a southern New Jersey township.

One of the water main extensions involved boring and jacking 300 feet of water main under Interstate Highway No. 295 (1-295). Project activities included the layout and design of the water main extension; coordination with the NJDEP, NJDOT, Gloucester County Department of Public Works, local water utility and municipality to obtain approval of the water main extension; wetlands, stream encroachment and soil conservation permitting; development of design specifications and a bid package; contractor procurement and construction oversight.
