Tuesday, November 7 CLM’s Bermuda Chapter is hosting a November Educational & Networking Event entitled “The Cost of Catastrophes: A Panel Perspective on Pollution Events.” The panel, including Roux’s Vice President and Principal Engineer Peter Alvey, P.E., will discuss environmental claims that arise due to the time element provision of the current general liability policies written on the London and Bermuda forms. The panel will present the technical, legal, and coverage-related challenges involved in handling of these events, while exploring the interaction of other policies such as property, business interruption, and directors and officers (D&O) policies.

Saturday, November 4 Join Coastal Steward Long Island (CSLI) in Endeavour Hall at Stony Brook University for the 3rd Annual Youth Ocean Conservation Summit (YOCS). Attendees will hear from keynote speaker William Wise, the Director of New York Sea Grant and former Associate Director of the School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences; develop plans for projects and mini-grant applications to improve the marine environment; and much more. The first 50 student registrants will receive a free book.

The 26th annual conference is hosted by The State Bar of California, and brings top environmental professionals, lawyers, and officials together for educational programs and receptions.
