Wednesday, April 18 – Friday, April 20 The ABA Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources (SEER) hosts its 47th Spring Conference this year in Orlando, Florida. The conference, offering a two-day CLE program, has consistently been the premier forum for dialogue among environmental, energy, and resources lawyers. Attendees will gain practical knowledge from the nation’s leading practitioners, top government officials, in-house counsel, and academics on key topics such as current Supreme Court jurisprudence, Superfund reform, environmental permitting, and interstate water disputes, just to name a few.
Roux’s Jon Rohrer, P.G., C.Hg. and Adam Love, Ph.D. will attend the event, engaging in panel discussions regarding various energy and environmental priorities in the legal world today. In addition, Dr. Love will moderate one of Friday’s CLE sessions entitled “Science on Trial: Is it Legally Honest?” which will explore some of the modern success and failures, the challenges involved with the incorporation of science into law and policy, and the ways science can be both manipulated and safeguarded to degrade or improve the clarity it provides.
